Atlanta Construction and Demolition

The Atlanta Plant was acquired by Luck Stone in October 2018. The Construction & Demolition Landfill (C&D) operation has been established to accept construction/demolition waste, as defined by the Georgia Rules for Solid Waste Management. This waste differs significantly from household waste accepted at community solid waste landfills. The facility handles waste building materials and rubble resulting from construction, remodeling, repair, and demolition operations on pavements, houses, commercial buildings and other structures.

In addition to the C&D facility, this site also operates a large quarry producing both virgin and recycled aggregates. For more information about the Atlanta Plant, click here.

  • Other inert waste landfill material, and other wastes not likely to become putrid or foul

Operators of the landfill facility are trained to identify potentially prohibited wastes, including random inspections to ensure that loads do not contain such materials.

  • Household waste (such as garbage, trash, and sanitary sewage)
  • Liquids
  • White goods
  • Lead acid batteries
  • Biomedical wastes
  • Asbestos
  • Lead paint
  • Radioactive wastes
  • Industrial waste
  • Scrap tires
  • Pesticide residue
  • Any deleterious materials with the potential to contaminate soils, water or air, and create a threat to human health and the environment during pre-processing, processing or post processing.
