Luck Stone’s Toano Yard is a distribution point for aggregate products in the Williamsburg area. Material is sourced from our Boscobel Quarry, shipped via railroad and off-loaded onto our yard. Trucks are then used to ship this material to local commercial, residential and other projects in the Williamsburg area, Newport News, and the counties of York and James City.

Boscobel, source stone for the Toano Yard, mines Petersburg Granite, an igneous formation thought to be of late Paleozoic age (about 330 million years old). Found in the Petersburg and Richmond areas, this rock was formed from a molten mass and has a pink and sometimes blue multi-colored appearance. Quartz, orthoclase, plagioclase, muscovite and small amounts of dark colored minerals combine to give the stone its rich appearance.
